How it all started...
In the late 1960s the decision was made by the Board of Higher Education of the Wisconsin Conference of the United Methodist Church (WC-UMC) to provide ecumenical campus ministry through the formation of UMHE (United Ministries in Higher Education) with several other denominations.
The Board provided UMHE the use of the Wisconsin Wesley Foundation property (the yellow house). In the ensuing years, our partnership with various denominations had grown and shifted until this ministry officially became known as Journey House Campus Ministry. We have faithfully served the students, faculty, and staff of UWRF and CVTC from the very beginning.

Expanding the vision...
We have been blessed with resources and awesome church partnerships that have positioned us in a unique space to expand our ministries beyond the physical walls of our Yellow House and the schools of UWRF and CVTC. College has grown more expensive over the years, and many young adults choose alternative paths than attending school. We also have a significant young adult population in River Falls (and the surrounding area) looking for a space to connect with others and make a genuine connection with God. Plus, it's not easy being a young adult in today's world.
That's why while we will continue to grow our thriving campus ministry, we are working towards offering worship, workshops, fun fellowship opportunities, and small groups for any young adult who would like to live an intentional faith, to choose a different way to embody work, or who would like support as young parents/families.

Our Church Partners
Journey House Campus Ministry has been an active Christian ministry for young adults since the 1960’s. Although we’ve seen our fair share of changes, two important things have stayed the same: our desire to serve and equip students with the love and guidance of Jesus, and the collaboration of churches that have helped this ministry move through decades of changing culture and student life.
Thank you to those churches mentioned below who have agreed to be active partners in our missional work.
