summer sweet summer

I love summer for many reasons one of them being some down time. Most summer students at UWRF are non-traditional students so we do not carry on with our regular programming which gives me sometime to relax and recharge.  Don’t get me wrong I love my job but I appreciate the time to attend some conferences, read some books and plan for fall.

First up on my summer calendar – co-leading devotions with the campus ministry folks from Stout and Eau Claire at the Northwest Synod of WI. annual conference. We will be answering the question: what campus ministry means to me/why campus ministry is important.

Have a great summer.

having some fun advertising

Getting the word out about our events is an on going project that sometimes gets a little old so the peer leaders and I have been working on doing some fun and creative things to get the word out – our first try dancing in the windows of the UC with large poster boards!

I94 Campus Ministry retreat

Every year we participate in a joint retreat with the Lutheran Campus Ministry from UW-Stout, the United Methodist Campus ministry from Stout and the Lutheran Campus Ministry from Eau Claire. The retreat took place this past weekend – we learned about our “True Colors” and about why mission and vision statements are important. We also had quite a bit of fun.
