Feeding Hungry People

During the 2020-21 Academic Year, JHCM is trying out a bold new food experiment: Serving as a campus community food pantry. With COVID 19 keeping everybody at a distance from everybody else and events completely virtual, the traditional ministry of suppers on Mondays and lunches on Wednesdays has not been possible.

Instead, with support from the River Falls Community Food Pantry, JHCM is offering students and others in the community meal bags, with ingredients for two to three meals [depending on how many are being fed].

Eventually, the meal bags will live in the newly converted Giant Little Free Food Pantry [it used to be a Free Library]. For now, those who want some food for a meal or two call Journey House [@ 715.425.2391].

Feeding the hungry is something Journey House Campus Ministry has been doing since the beginning, only right now its meals people fix for themselves at home.
